Becki Newton

Becki was born and raised in Guilford (Connecticut) However, she is originally from New Haven. She's English and Czech heritage and first began to perform performances and musicals at local theaters. She also was a student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her B.A. European History. Newton, in his time as a Penn pupil, was also a member Alpha Chi Omega. Newton was transferred into New York City after graduation and started work on television commercials. This included Olive Garden. Newton played the role of Amanda Tanen in the comedy-drama show Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010. Alongside co-star Michael Urie, Newton co-hosted the"Official Ugly Betty" Podcast. Newton also appeared on ABC.com ?Ts Mode After Hours series of web-based episodes. Ugly Betty was canceled in the year 2010 following four seasons of success allowing the show to receive a proper series finale. Newton made the New York City Center encores debut in 2009. presentation of the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy, which was directed by Jerry Zaks. Her real partner Chris Diamantopoulos performed with her as Molly Gray. Newton was also a part of Love Bites, a television series. Cindy Chupack created the hour-long romantic comedy. She served as the executive producer for Sex and the City. NBC initially announced their intention to take on Love Bites in May 2010. However, after Newton made public her pregnancy news and co-star Jordana Spiro was legally bound by her My Boys My Boys to keep the show going the show, it was moved into the mid-season.
